All Tropical Storm Helene Disaster permit applications including Stand-Alone Trade Permits, MUST BE APPLIED FOR IN PERSON at our office located at 157 PARAGON PARKWAY, SUITE 200, CLYDE -or- BY EMAIL: permitting@haywoodcountync.gov
The paper application is located in the documents folder at the bottom of this page. Please verify you submit all the required documentation with the application (ie: Plans, Workers Comp. Verification, Lien Agent, Flood Permits, Zoning Approval etc.)
BEGINNING DECEMBER 1, 2025, ALL COMMERICAL APPLICATIONS EXCLUDING STAND-ALONE TRADE APPLICATIONS, MUST INCLUDE BUILDING PLANS STAMPED BY A DESIGN PROFESSIONAL. HANDDRAWN PLANS WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTED.

After you register, you may call 828-452-6638 to get your ACCESS CODE which will give you access to previous permits issued in SmartGov.
